We met up with soon-to-be husband and wife Kristen and Adam at their workshop to see how Southern Crafted Doors turns a stack of wood and a customer’s vision into a beautiful and functional door.
We walk through the basic process, which can take 1-2 weeks to build out, once a customer provides all their specifications – and there’s a lot more that can be customized than you might realize – types of wood, stains, hardware, glass, not to mention the actual design itself, which could go in a wide array of directions and change up the process, depending on if you’re making a pantry door, a closet door, or an entry door.
Doors are honestly something we’ve never thought much about before, but Southern Crafted Doors shows us they can not only be functional, but a beautiful piece of art that takes your space to the next level.
