The latest addition to the Rick Erwin Dining group is Saltwater Kitchen, located in the Haywood Mall, in the space previously occupied by Palmetto Moon. It hits a sweet spot between a causal and upscale restaurant, so it’s fancy enough for date night, and causal enough for grabbing a quick bite to eat after a shopping excursion in the mall.
Chef Josh Thomasen focuses on fresh food and reimagined familiar dishes inspired by the lowcountry like the lobster roll with old bay fries, cedar plank salmon and warm crab and pimmento cheese dip. There’s plenty of seating for larger groups inside and out on their all-weather patio.
