What’s better than chicken and waffles? Chicken and donuts! HenDough Chicken & Donuts, a popular restaurant in Hendersonville, NC will soon be filling one of the spaces at Gather GVL. Located in the red shipping container along Augusta, a big window will allow pedestrians to peek inside the bakery and watch the donuts being made.
Gather GVL’s courtyard is still under construction.
HenDough’s food is fun and approachable. In addition to serving handmade donuts, fried chicken and chicken sandwiches, they sell locally-sourced sodas and coffee.
Owners Paul and Sarah met while working as Chefs at Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. HenDough was the couple’s first foray into opening a restaurant. In addition to opening the HenDough Greenville location, they will also be opening THREE other concepts at Gather GVL: Mercado Cantina, KO Burger, and Al Taglio (Greenville’s first Roman-style pizza shop).
