Construction is underway on a new Hyatt Place hotel across the street from Erwin Penland and directly beside Elliot Davis on broad street. The hotel would be the 13th hotel along main street. Construction is anticipated to last 14 to 16 months, so look for an opening around the end of the year.
The hotel will include a basement-level pool, fitness center, coffee and cocktails bar, along with a hot breakfast bar and grab-and-go concept similar to that of the Aloft Hotel.
A parking deck was incorporated into the plans after the developer learned the new Broad Street Garage (which houses EP and Prisma Health/Suntrust employees) was full.
